General comments/suggestions on lectures: 1.  Very helpful and informative. 2.  The lectures are very interesting. Most lectures, that is not the case 6.  Truly, they were great. The professors were excellent: competent and in control, but still kind and understanding of their students and not making unnecessary or unreasonable demands. I learned so much, and the material is stuff that I will actually use. I love the way mathematics, which can seem so abstract, describes real, physical motions. I don't see how it is possible, or how people discovered it. It is amazing. 8.  Always interesting. 9.  Overall, very good! 10.  I really appreciated the class and the professors. I really do think yall care whether about how much we learned. I just wished I could have asked for more help. 11.  Should have more physical examples done during the lecture. 12.  Dr. Bennett and Professor Schleter are the best professors I've had at the University of Tennessee this far! They are fantastic at conveying the almost-always confusing physics concepts to the class in a way that makes it easy to understand. They are always there to help and are extremely friendly. They make me want to come to lectures for all of those reasons and the fact they work so well together. I'm going to miss EF. Overall, they are AWESOME!!! 13.  I like the already printed notes. It makes keeping up a lot easier. I still sometimes was writing so much that I did not get to pay full attention to try and grasp the information. The lecture videos helped a lot since what I did not get the first time around I could get from watching them on my own time. 14.  na 15.  Good class! 16.  I think they could have done a little bit better of a job with presenting the material in a way that students new to physics would understand. 18.  Some lectures were a bit rushed, but I understand time constraints. 19.  There were a lot of times where there was a hard example but we didnt have time to go over it. Everything was fun and interesting, I wish my other professors made class enjoyable to go to like you guys did. 66.  They were very engaging in teaching the lectures and explained and worked each problem very thuroughly and did a fantastic job teaching new topics and formulas. Please try to spend more time working example problems and identifying the key concepts. There were many times in lecture where problems were hurried that would have been beneficial to be worked all the way through. 77.  All of the notes should be given out at once instead of one at time. General comments/suggestions on recitations: 1.  It was good to get more of a "hands on" approach to the concepts learned in class. 2.  They were a lot of help 4.  recitations really helped 6.  Recitation was kind of miserable. It is not because of our TA: he was good. I felt like a lot of the exercises in the worksheets gave very detailed instructions which we were not expected to follow because time, knowledge, and skill were inadequate (on the part of us students). We were given a certain amount of time to work the problems on our own, and if we did not know how, there was nothing to do but wait around and be bored until the TA worked the problems on the board. At that time he wrote them out so fast that we had time only to copy his work in our notes and not to understand what he was doing. If, on the other hand, we tried to work the problems before he did, on our own, there was sometimes not enough time to finish before he started. I don't know, the time just felt unpleasant and poorly spent (unlike lecture). 8.  Usually pretty boring. 9.  Recitation was fun and informative! 10.  I learned more in recitation than I thought I did. I never realize that until the end of each module, even though it always feels like I'm watching smart peope work. 11.  I strongly believe that one problem of every homework should be done during recitation. That just make me feel like doing the rest of it too as I know I have homework problem down. There should be more time given after recitation if we have questions about homework problems. There should be more projects during recitation. 12.  Recitations were very helpful. If I didn't have them, it would be difficult to get a FULL grasp on some of the concepts. Recitations have saved me more than a couple times. 13.  The material was well presented and the practical applications were a lot more obvious during lab. I had a little trouble with the group projects due to the occasional person not pulling their part of the project but honestly this happens a lot in life outside the university as well so perhaps it is good training. 14.  na 15.  More practice problems and less activities. 16.  None 17.  spend more time walking us through the tasks 18.  It just seems it takes so long to get so little done in recitation. I would rather go over homework problems or problems like homework problems, or have another overview of the lecture material. 19.  Chris is awesome. 20.  none 22.  Chris was awesome! We could really joke around with him and be honest when we didn't understand a question. He was very helpful. Frances I barely saw until project time and I felt as if every time I went to ask for materials for my project she could be kind of rude. 23.  Shorter recitation 24.  The recitations taught us how to apply what we learned in the lecture, and also reviewed what we had done. I can't ask more... 58.  Harder problems. 59.  They were very helpful to reiterate what we had learned in lecture. The hands-on activities helped me see what I was calculating with an equation. 60.  Tania seems slightly scatterbrained at times. She seems to either forget where she was going with a topic or not sure where to go next. This makes her explanations twice as long and less helpful than if she had only explained half the material. 61.  Recitations really helped me further understand what was talked about in lecture. 62.  none 64.  Recetation is where I learned the material the best. 65.  Recitations were really fun. Chris did a great job explaining course material and is a really cool guy. 66.  Chris was awesome and really helped the material make sense by showing step-by-step how we were to reach the answer to a question we were having trouble with. He had many interactive examples coresponding to lecture and recitation was very helpful in giving us much needed practice on all the lecture topics. 70.  Good but could include more time for homework. 71.  Nothing. They certainly helped me reach a greater understanding. 73.  The lectures were helpful. 75.  waste of time 76.  Have the TA take a few minutes and go over concepts that we just learned before throwing a concepts question in our face's. There were many times I did not understand the topics/concepts until after recitation. The recitations were geared more towards the Rube Goldberg project. It would have me if we would have had more rotational motion problems to go over in recitation. 93.  n/a 94.  Recitations should focus more on homework solutions rather than consistent projects. 95.  I enjoyed recitations. 1.  I really liked using the website, it is set up good and is easy to use. 4.  add more hints to homework; the textbook sections do not help and should not be considered as a hint 6.  I loved the way that there were little bits of humor tucked all over the place. I liked that there were links to Blackboard, myutk, etc. Seriously though, I don't need a hint telling me that there is an example in section something-or-other of my text book: I use the hint if my notes and book are not enough in the first place. 8.  N/A 9.  None. 10.  It's awesome. General comments/suggestions on the textbook:

1.  I did not purchase a textbook 4.  Not helpful. 6.  The notes were much better. 8.  It was a lifesaver! 9.  Difficult to relate to this class. Different terminology and very different examples. 10.  IT was written in a totally different language to me. Do not use it. 11.  None 13.  I did not buy the textbook at the time but I recently found it online for around $14 so I'll have it for 152. The book helped out some, but it wasn't a major part of my studying. The problem references in the Homework to the textbook were usually similar but not the same concept. 113.  I prefer hard copies of text book, but I don't believe they are 3 times better than e-versions in terms of price I put "no" for requiring text books because the current one we use now is useless. If we had a better one than I would say "Absolutely".

General comments/suggestions on the clickers:

1.  Good way to keep in touch in lecture. 4.  make the weight from 5% to 7% 6.  There were times that I was frustrated because I couldn't/didn't get my answer in on time. Yall should make it bonus points to our test scores. 11.  Too less time to select an answer sometime 13.  Sometimes I needed more time on a question. Over all though I think they really help to make the class more interactive.
